Rental Equipment

  • General youth/adult rental equipment of boots, skis, & poles for daily/weekend use is available. The cost of a rental remains as a donation to the club, as we hope many people will try XC-Skiing this season and use the gear to access some beautiful winter trails in the area. For rentals, connect with Kim either through FB Message, or call her at 780-623-4894.
Groomed Trails in the Area

  • In the upcoming season, groomed trails will be at the following location:
    • Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park
      • will be done later in winter season due to mulching currently underway
    • Beaver Lake Provincial Recreation Area - Group Use Area
      • groomed with classic track set - early season conditions, please use caution as the track is shallow in areas
      • General Trail map is available online: Alberta Parks - Beaver Lake PRA
    • Shaw Lake Day Use Area, Lakeland Provincial Park
      • Lake Loop is fully groomed, other areas are underway, early season conditions, but track is shaping up nicely as we get more snow.
      • Detailed Trail map is available online: Alberta Parks - Lakeland PP Shaw Lake
      • With new mulching of trails & boardwalks installed throughout the trail network, please use caution as there are new hazards present. We are working with Alberta Parks to mark hazards and plan to assist in mitigating these hazards. In the meantime, we urge skiers to be cautious around all boardwalks as some are raised and have created uneven surface conditions.
  • Ongoing updates on conditions & what's available for groomed trails can be found on our Facebook Page.

We have Volunteer Opportunities!

  • Interested in becoming a Community Coaching Volunteer? Connect with Shannon (skristinef@gmail.com), who one of our coach leads, to find out how you can help coach youth development programs.
  • Lac La Biche Legion Supper Volunteers are needed as the club will receive an honorarium for assisting Legion Staff in setting up, serving, and cleaning up supper. A handful of people are needed each date, starting at 5:00PM and wrapping up around 9:00PM. To be on our volunteer call list for this, connect with our Fundraiser Coordinator (Kim) either through FB Message, or call her at 780-623-4894.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help, as fundraising opportunities have been limited the past couple years.
